love loves to love love ~ james joyce
love is a rebellious bird that nobody can tame, and it's all in vain to call it if it chooses to refuse. ~ georges bizet
what keeps you going isn't some fine destination but just the road you're on, and the fact that you know how to drive. You keep your eyes open, you see this damned-to-hell world you got born into, and you ask yourself, what life can i live that will let me breathe in and out and love somebody or something and not run off screaming into the woods. ~ b. kingsolver

botanical header // This large botanical drawing was done by one of the Indian artists who drew Indian plants for William Roxburgh (1751-1815), a Scottish botanist and an employee of the East India Company. Roxburgh became an early director of the Botanic Gardens in Calcutta, where this drawing was probably made around 1813. Roxburgh's group of artists created over 2,500 such drawings. The Indian artist is unidentified, typical of the Roxburgh drawings (and most others done by Indian artists for the British during this period).
